Under 11 and 12 teams State Championship success

Our U11's and 12's played in the NNSW State Titles on the long weekend at Coffs Harbour, with the Under 11 winning the title, The boys played some good football throughout the tournament and ended undefeated. the Under 12s cam in at 2nd position overall with a great efffort by players and coaches, The sportsmanship and team harmony displayed was exceptional. Well done to all the coaches, managers and players.

A very well done to the Under 11 and Under 12 teams that attended Coffs Harbour State Championships for 2013 with our operations manager reporting after the first game on Monday morning the Under 11 Team has won the tournament and the Under 12 team look like they will complete the Tournament in Second Place. This is a fantastic job by not only the players but our coaching Staff.

Under 11 white

Very good game. Both sides took there chances. In the first half we made a couple of defensive errors which Hunter took advantage of. In the second half our team pressured most of the half but could not score. Very happy with our first up effort.

Under 11 Blue

A very good competitive game. A couple of well taken goals, already you can see the boys are trying to play football. Supporting one another and having fun. Keep up the good work.

Under 12 Blue

This team can play footy. The calling and moving was very good. The other aspect that stood out was the pressing when we lost the ball, although a bit of guidance from the sideline helped. Looking good for the season.

Under 12 White

Great effort. A dour struggle throughout and we had a bit of luck with our goals. The way the boys stuck to their task was good to see. Plenty of enthusiasm and tackling especially on a hot day. Well done boys.

SUMMER GAMES WEEK 4

It's good to see the kids just playing footy. Some of the tricks and dribbling they are trying is great to see. This is the game related training that we encourage, it allows the players to express themselves without the added burden of a coach yelling out instructions.

A couple of teams who were undefeated had some close calls but in the end it's all about having fun. Thanks also to those boys who filled in for the teams that were short.

Also thanks to those parents who gave us a hand at the end, much appreciated.

SUMMER GAMES WEEK 2

To the parents, thanks for your patients in the first two weeks.

After all the admin work was over we got down to playing footy. This week we had some very close and competitive games. Again it was great to see the boys passing and moving, getting into better positions to receive the ball. I hope you are all enjoying the way it is going.

Let's also mention our referees, these young boys are giving up their spare time to do this, we all appreciate the effort.

Also our canteen is now open for business, great work Macquarie.

Cant wait for next week.

TAREE TRIP - under 11 & 12's visit

Our teams played exceptional football. I over heard the opposition parents made some very positive comments.

A big thankyou to all those parents who made the track up the highway on a wet overcast Sunday morning. Also to all the coaches a job well done.

Special mention to Noah in getting a hatrick, they don't come along very often, also Noah tells me it was a team effort. We have other games coming up.
