Our first session of The Macquarie Summer Games started Monday 12th,  Spectators witnessed some very good football played. You could see the enthusiasm in all the players. All they wanted to do is play footy.

The main aim of putting these summer games on is to let the players play more football. The small sided game, to express themselves, to show the coaching staff what they have learnt throughout the year. Our coaches have been instructed to coach on the run ( let the kids play ) The rules are basic, No throw ins , The ball is dribbled in, keepers are encourage to throw the ball in, no big kicks, Players are encouraged to beat a player with skill, to dribble the ball.

The emphasis is on having fun and truly enjoy the experience.

A HIGHLIGHT

I have to mention a goal scored by Luke Callen. It came off a corner kick by Danial Steel and Luke volleyed  the ball into net, very skillful, well done Luke.

Well done to all players.

Everyone is looking forward to next week.
