It was a hot day at Turner Park Cessnock when the boys took to the field at 1.30pm. The first half they displayed awareness and control and managed to go a goal up. Passing and movement were good in parts, especially against some strong physical challenges.

In football the saying is "its a game of two halves", how true. I think the referee thought we were playing footy in the second half and so the challenges kept coming and coming. This caused confusion and a loss of control from the majority of players, oh and a goal aginst us.

This was a lesson in how not to respond and as a result we came away with a draw. Not a good day at the office.
