The boys last game was against the 13s girls. We held posession extremely well again for the majority of the game with only a few lapses in concentration and composure. This is something we need to work on throughout the season and should improve. We also failed to put the ball in the back of the net more than once and really should have won the game. The girls were strong and physical and managed to get a goal back. The game finished 1-1. The boys played some beautiful football and there awa... Continue reading ...

The boys regrouped, determination, passing well saw us bring the score closer together. The boys really showed our apponent that we can play good Football wit... Continue reading ...
Macquarie U14 SYL – Round 5
Posted by Warwick Maher on Tuesday, March 27, 2012,
This Saturday our boys take on the Newcastle under 14 SYL team.
The draw last week to Valentine under 15 boys highlighted that our up tempo “possession” based football and our “ball orientated” defending requires an aggressive mental approach to the game. The approach is that when in possession the ball is moved with controlled urgency and when lost there is immediate pressure on the ball. The boys started the game a little too passively but improved significantly in the second half... Continue reading ...
Under 11 Blue State youth League round 3
Very well played by all. The exercises and drills we have practiced all came off in this game. The boys played some terrific football. maybe the only part was our strength of our passes. It was great to see our team pass then look for support. can't wait for next week. Great effort boys. Thanks goes to Sally for her skills of organizing our team prior to game.

Macquarie U12-Blue Vs Newcastle Mustangs -21/3/12 at Macquarie
Result 1-3 loss to Newcastle Mustangs. This was a game of lost opportunities where we had a majority of the possession and control of the game. A bit of ball watching saw quick counter attacks from Newcastle through the middle. The players need to transfer what is learnt at training to game days. The boys have been working really hard at training and it is simple mistakes that cost us. Fortunately there are many games ahead to work at getting this across to match day. I definitely... Under 11 State Youth League Match reports
Due to washouts the first round, this was our first game.
Our Macquarie Blue and Stripe teams played one another on Sunday at Wallarah oval. Both teams tried to play football, which was very pleasing. Playing against your own is always difficult, however the boys stuck to their tasks. It's a long season, and there were quite a few things to work out. Well done to all.
Our White team played Hunter Valley Maroon. An excellent result. This team played some good football. They played as a te... ? Continue reading ...

STATE YOUTH LEAGUE UNDER 12's
From what was on display on Saturday, the 12's comp should be a very close affair. There was some pretty good football played.
Our white team played Newcastle Mustangs, in the early fixture. The boys should be very pleased with their effort. Keeping the ball and their build up from the back was a highlight. They did not let the Newcastle team settle in to any routine. Good all round performance. Won 2 - 0
Our blue team played the late game against quite a well coached NNSW girls... ? Continue reading ...
Macquarie U12 White Match Report 18/3/12
It was nice to finally start the season on Saturday with the boys playing against the Newcastle Mustangs in round 1.
It was cool and a little wet but the boys felt good and were looking forward to it.
They played their passing game well, especially in the first half with the majority of the possession, switching the ball effectively.
Challenges were strong, as they always are from the Newcastle teams, however our team were strong also and not at all put off.
In the second half we managed ... ? Continue reading ...
Macquarie U14 SYL – Round 3
Macquarie U14 SYL – Round 3
This Sunday our boys take on the NSW Institute of Sport under 18 girls team.
The loss last week to Hamilton Olympic under 15 boys showed the physical challenges for our under 14 boys. The game was a little reminder that maintaining possession is the key for us so that it remains a ”technical skill” based contest rather than a “physical” contest.
Training this week has been focused on the three main defensive strategies of the FFA National Curriculum... ? Continue reading ...
